Posted on Jun 5th, 2008 by Tiffany : Aspiring Journalist Tiffany
Since my other entry was about the scholarship this is the first official blog entry so you all can learn a little about me. I am a very dedicated individual. I'm not like any other female you will ever meet. I know I am capable of doing whatever it is I want to do. I am a feminist. I am a college sophomore majoring in English and Journalism. I take my education very seriously. My passion in life is knowledge. I love to learn, I love to read, write, research and so much more. If I don't know what something means i'm not afraid to ask. I am extremely stubborn and open minded. I believe in helping the environment. I fight for what I believe in. I'm not the type to just sit back and listen, i'm the type to get out there and get it done. I'm a fun loving, crazy, try anything once individual. I'm extremely unique, like I said, you aren't going to meet anybody like me.  If you would like to know anything else you can go ahead and ask, i'll post more blogs when I find it appropriate or if I just have something to say to the world.

You can also find me on myspace. You can search by e-mail (tiffs011@yahoo.com) feel free to send me a friend request.

Thanks everyone!

Questions for scholarship.

Posted on Jun 5th, 2008 by Tiffany : Aspiring Journalist Tiffany

There were a series of questions we were asked to answer for an opportunity to win a $1000 scholarship for college. This blog entry is going to be those answers.

1. What is your purpose?
I don't think any of us really know our purpose of being here. Many people try their entire lives to find the truth and never do, others live their lives in whatever way makes them happy. I feel exactly what I said is indeed our purpose. I don't think we are supposed to know the truth, I think we're supposed to wonder and hope we're doing the right thing, otherwise what's the point? If there was no surprise in life wouldn't it be quite boring? If we just knew exactly what we were put here for what would be the point in experimenting in college and trying things we've never tried before?

2. What do you love and how do or will your actions demonstrate this?
I love many things though my real passion in life is learning. No matter what happens the one thing you can never stop doing is learning. Knowledge is your greatest power and nobody can take that away from you. Being in college demonstrates this. Not only schooling but just simply using the internet to research, using the local library to read, subscribing to the local newspaper, all of these I do and all of these demonstrate what I love.

3. Write your ideal job description.
If I had the opportunity to work in my ideal setting it would be a classroom. I want to be an English teacher at the high school level. I also want to be a freelance journalist for the local newspaper and magazines until I get some experience and work for a bigger newspaper and magazines. I want to work in a school for troubled teens because no matter what anybody else says, they are our future and I want to help shape our future.

Thank you for your consideration in this scholarship opportunity.
